DTF Transfer Care Instructions
Proper garment care helps protect the appearance and adhesion of your DTF transfer. Follow the washing, drying, and ironing recommendations below to help your printed apparel last longer.
Before the First Wash
Wait at least 24 hours after application before the first wash. This gives the transfer time to fully set, so it isn't exposed to unnecessary heat, friction, or washing stress too soon after application.
How to Wash DTF Printed Garments
- Turn the garment inside out.
- Wash in cold water.
- Use a mild detergent.
- Choose a gentle cycle when possible.
- Wash with similar garments and avoid unnecessary abrasion.
How to Dry DTF Printed Garments
Best option: Air dry whenever possible.
If using a dryer: Use a low-heat setting.
How to Iron a DTF Printed Garment
Do not iron directly on the printed design.
If ironing is needed:
- Turn the garment inside out.
- Iron from the reverse side.
- Alternatively, use an appropriate protective sheet between the heat source and the print.
